Chatting with Jann Wenner in 1970, Lennon retold the story of his exit from the group, saying: “Once I acquired again [from Toronto] there have been just a few conferences and Allen mentioned: ‘Cool it’,
“‘Trigger there was loads to do [with The Beatles] business-wise, and it wouldn’t have been appropriate on the time.”
“Then we had been discussing one thing within the workplace with Paul,” he added. “And Paul was saying to do one thing.
“And I stored saying: ‘No, no, no’ to all the things he mentioned. So it got here to a degree that I needed to say one thing.”
