Autohaus Sellner — a long‑standing Škoda partner in Lendorf (municipality of Spittal an der Drau) — has started a significant modernisation of its site on the B100, enlarging the workshop, adding tyre and storage capacity and refurbishing customer and staff facilities. The work, reported on 3 November 2026, will keep the dealer open during construction and includes a customer promotion: a free set of winter tyres with certain Škoda purchases while stocks last, valid through 30 November 2026.

What happened

According to the local report, Sellner’s project increases service capacity by enlarging the workshop and the tyre depot, renews disposal and staff areas, and will re-fit the showroom to Škoda’s current brand design. Managing director Roland Willegger told the paper the investment is intended to keep the business “well positioned for the coming years”; the dealer will continue operations on site during the works, though with occasional restrictions. The paper also notes the limited‑time winter‑tyre promotion valid until 30 November 2026.

Why the manufacturer backs upgrades

Selling and servicing modern cars — especially as electrified models join line‑ups — puts pressure on dealers to provide larger, better‑equipped workshops and standardised customer spaces. Škoda lists Autohaus Sellner on its local dealer directory, confirming the outlet’s official franchise role in the region. Manufacturer support for showroom and aftersales upgrades is a recurring theme in Škoda’s trade communications; Škoda Auto Germany’s management has repeatedly emphasised that personal, local dealer contact remains central even as digital sales tools grow. Frank Barwasser, spokesperson of Škoda Auto Germany since 1 January 2026, has publicly argued for balanced, sustainable dealer network investment rather than headline volume chasing.
